Coastal Explorer LR

Coastal Explorer LR

A bigger, longer‑range evolution of the Coastal Explorer DC—built for open water, real weather, and serious autonomy.

The Coastal Explorer Long Range takes the core idea of the Coastal Explorer DC and stretches it into a more capable platform. It’s designed for owners who want to travel further, stay out longer, and keep their options open when conditions change.

Our background in harsh-condition workboats shaped the project from the start. The goal wasn’t to create a “rugged-looking” explorer. It was to engineer a vessel that actually behaves like one: strong, predictable, and easy to operate when the sea state is doing its best to ruin your plans.

Development was iterative and precise. We refined the concept using simulation tools and detailed prototypes to validate key decisions early—from layout logic and onboard workflow to capability-driven features such as storage, deck utility, and handling priorities.

Design priorities:

  • Long‑range usability: abundant storage and practical spaces for equipment, provisions, and extended trips.

  • Reinforced hull concept: built around robustness and confidence in exposed conditions.

  • Maneuverability and control: predictable behavior at speed and confidence in close quarters.

  • Clean, contemporary lines: uncluttered aesthetics without sacrificing function.

Every element is designed to balance safety, comfort, and usability. The diving/utility deck is a good example: it’s sized and arranged for real gear—from scuba tanks to marker buoys—and supports safe, straightforward movement in and out of the water.

A long-range explorer that stays calm when the conditions don’t.
